Ultrasound week in Timisoara, the city of flowers and diversity

Student Ultrasound Congress (STUC) endorsed by the World and European Societies of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (WFUMB & EFSUMB) is a scientific manifestation dedicated for medical students. The goal of the event is to familiarize medical students with the advantages and applicability of ultrasound as a diagnostic and interventional procedure.

STUC congress will have the scientific support of senior lecturers from European and World ultrasound Societies; however, the congress layout will be student friendly with hands on sessions and interactive activities conducted by ultrasound enthusiastic students that were involved in ultrasound activities. Lectures form basic to advance, hands on stations, quizzes and meet the experts session will play the part of the program.

Dear students, 

We are pleased to inform you that the first Ultrasound Congress for Students (STUC), endorsed by the World and European Federation of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology is taking place on 27-28th of May 2022 in Timisoara, România. Students from different countries already submitted their abstracts and well-renowned speakers will join the Conference. More than this, in order to stimulate even more participation, a group discount was introduced for groups larger than 10 persons, from 50 to 20 euro/group person. 

Abstracts submission guidelines

Participants are invited to submit their ultrasound research (abstracts; interesting ultrasound case presentations) until 31.03.2022.

The main topics of interest for abstracts submission are:

  • Students in Ultrasound Education;
  • Students involvement in Ultrasound Medical Research;
  • Ultrasound in Student Medical Practice;

Bursaries will be attributed to authors of the best submitted abstracts.

Step 3 – Access your event
Step 4 – Upload your paper from the ABSTRACT section (top right corner button)

Location & Accommodation

The congress will be held at the Regional Business Center Timisoara. The location is in walking distance to city center (15 min) and near the city’s university campus. Location link (Centrul Regional de Afaceri Timisoara- CRAFT al CCIAT).

Registration

Registration fee for medical students is 50 euro (regular fee until 10.05) or 100 euro (on site) for 27.05 and 28.05, covering the participation at the student’s congress.

For students who are also interested in participating in the first day of WFUMB congress in 26.05 in connection with the student congress in 27.05 and 28.05 the fee is 80 euro (regular fee until 10.05) or 100 euro (on site).

A proof of being a medical student is required upon registration.
